My name is Steven Lemon, and I live in Southern New Jersey… Vineland to be exact.
My musical influences are ALL over the place, but growing up, I always preferred the songs of previous generations over whatever the current popular music was at the time. I remember the fist time I heard The Beach Boys… I was instantly hooked. As a matter of fact, the first concert I ever saw was The Beach Boys at The Spectrum in Philadelphia. (Did I just age myself?)
Some other artists that I loved as a kid:
Buddy Holly, Gene Pitney, Bobby Vee, Neil Sedaka, The Everly Brothers, and Bobby Vinton.
I also loved the sounds of Queen, Ben Folds Five, Weezer.
I also ALWAYS loved GOOD old Country music from the greats like Hank Williams, Buck Owens, George Jones, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Garth Brooks, and Dwight Yoakam.

The process of making music is really fun, and it can start from a little idea, or a melody, or even a random sound or thought… and grow into just about anything. Sometimes I have the control over where it goes, and other times they just kinda take on a life of their own. Either way, they aren’t always a directly autobiographical or deeply personal, but I think there is always a bit of of me in every song if that makes sense.
